Chris Flathers
Lead Pastor
Chris and his wife Amanda love Colorado and want to help Coloradans experience a life-changing relationship with God. While Chris grew up in Maine, Amanda grew up in Parker, CO and they met at Colorado Christian University. For the first couple years of marriage, Chris served on staff at a church as the Middle School and College Director in Littleton, CO while studying for his Master of Divinity at Denver Seminary. In 2015, God called Chris and Amanda to move to Maine, where Chris served as a Discipleship Pastor at Eastpoint Christian Church. They have three daughters: Hannah, 5 years old, Chloe, 2 years old, and Abigail, 6 months old. In 2018, God called Chris and Amanda to reach those far from Him in Colorado and the vision for Connect Church was born.

Alex Steele
Associate Pastor
Alex’s heartbeat is to shepherd and walk with people as they grow in their apprenticeship to Jesus. Originally from Iowa, he moved to Denver for grad school and a chance to live near the mountains. Alex graduated from Ozark Christian College in 2021 with a degree in Biblical Communication and from Denver Seminary in 2024 with a Master of Divinity. While in school, Alex served at Connect by leading the Connections Team and other operations as a resident. Pastoral ministry was a burden God had put on Alex’s heart for a long time, and it happened that God worked out an opportunity to stay at Connect in such a role. When Alex isn’t working, he’ll find about any reason to be outside hiking or camping or to just hang out with friends.
